Helen Thuy-Duong Vo, M.D.
Dr. Helen Thuy-Duong Vo received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Florida State University. She completed her training in Anesthesiology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She is currently working at Orlando Veterans Affair Medical Center. Dr. Vo has chaired multiple medical committees locally and nationally. She is also the clerkship director for medical student Anesthesiology rotation at Orlando VAMC. She is actively involved with Vietnamese community in Orlando via various events as well as teaching Vietnamese to young children. Besides work and community service, Dr. Vo enjoy spending time with her two daughters, traveling, listening to music, and investing in real estate properties. She hopes to become a role model for the younger generation of Vietnamese Americans in central Florida and to inspire them to always be the best version of themselves.
Myhanh T. Nguyen, M.D.
Dr. Myhanh Nguyen received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL with Highest Honors, completed her ophthalmology residency at Tufts – New England Medical Center in Boston, MA, and became a specialist of Cornea, Refractive, and External Diseases through her fellowship training at Jules Stein - UCLA in Los Angeles, CA. She currently practices as a specialist in Cornea, Cataract, and LASIK. Dr. Nguyen has been on the Board for the Association since 2009. Her goals are to spread appreciation, excitement, and unity among the members through fun and educational events. When not busy planning for the Association, Dr. Nguyen plans travel and social events for her family and friends. She enjoys fine wine, scuba diving, arts & crafts, and learning Chinese.
Nhat Nguyen, O.D.
Son Ho, M.D.
Dr. Son Ho was raised in Naples, FL and went to Rollins College for his undergraduate degree. He graduated from medical school at the University of South Florida in Tampa and completed his residency at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. He journeyed half way around the world to the University of Auckland in New Zealand and completed a surgical fellowship in Oculoplastic, Lacrimal, and Reconstructive Surgery. Despite his extensive travels and education, Florida is home so he came back and has been with the Orlando VA taking care of Central Florida’s veterans. He enjoys discovering new parts of the world, staying fit by running marathons, and empowering/mentoring students.
Michelle Muc Nguyen, M.D.
Dr. Michelle Muc Nguyen is a board certified Family Physician currently serves as the Medical Director at Express Family Clinic. After receiving her medical degree from the University of Hawaii - John A Burns School of Medicine in 2003, she went on to complete her Family Medicine Residency training at Florida Hospital Orlando (currently AdventHealth) in 2006. Since then, she has been in private practice helping patients in the Orlando and St Cloud regions. Dr. Nguyen is passionate about giving back to the community. She spent her time volunteering at various free clinics, organized and participated in various community health fairs, and participated in medical mission trips. Dr. Nguyen is excited to join the board members of (VAPDPFL). She hopes to help the organization expand and be more involved in the Vietnamese community.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, extended families, and friends. She also find peace and relaxation by going to the temple, hiking, and reading. She loves exploring new places and trying new food.
